| Hey, I have been working on an issue which caused my "Blue fusible Link" to burn thru . found a short at the positive term. pulled all the links and disconnected the ALT and the short still there. Removed all the fuses also. Did some research on the site and found an entry which stated that the Z charging system has 2 grounds in it which allows the ALT to charge the Battery while driving. I have since been trying to find this post AGAIN!!! When i removed the ALT i found the small connector was broken. checked the starter from positive to its case and it shorted BUT it still starts the car? has anyone had a solenoid short and remain working. My thought is that if one of the grounds is lifted or broken it will show as a short to the positive terminal. Not real sure at this time. Got rained out again today so NO WORK!...No Garage! Any ideas appreciated.
